ANDY LAPIDES, MSW, LCSW, BCD

Andy is a licensed clinical social worker in New Jersey and New York state and is board certified by the American Board of Clinical Social Work.  He completed his master's of social work (MSW) at Fordham University and bachelor's of science in social work at New York University. 

 

Andy trained in gestalt therapy at the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy & Training in New York City from 2005 to 2008 where he completed his certificate as a qualified gestalt therapist.  He continued his studies in psychoanalysis at the Academy of Clinical & Applied Psychoanalysis in Livingston, NJ from 2009 to 2012, and group psychoanalysis at The Center for Group Studies in New York City from 2013 to 2016.  He is presently an adjunct professor at the Rutgers University School of Social Work.

Andy works with a variety of clients, particularly couples, men, adult survivors of abuse, LGBTQA+ clients and others.  His practice utilizes an integrative framework emphasizing relational work.  Client's often comment on Andy's strong listening skills, sensitivity, genuineness, and use of humor.

Outside of his professional life, Andy enjoys traveling, live music, hiking, NYC, the arts, and more.

DIANE NAAR, MSW, LSW
clinician

Diane is a licensed social worker in New Jersey with a Master's of Social Work (MSW) from the Rutgers Graduate School of Social Work and undergraduate degree in Sociology and Psychology from Brooklyn College, City University of New York.  She also was an exchange student at Cambridge University, UK.

Diane has been working in the field of social work for the past thirty years in a variety of contexts, particularly human services management and leadership in social service organizations.  She has also been an adjunct professor at Rutgers University School of Social Work.

She works with a variety of clients, particularly women, men, parents and others.  Her practice utilizes an approach emphasizing cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered psychotherapy, and other methods of treatment.  Client's often comment on Diane's empathy, ability to motivate others, set boundaries, and empower others.

In her personal life, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, hiking, swimming and playing her ukulele with other musicians.

MARY CHRIS “MC” ONG, social work intern

Mary Chris, also known as “MC” for short, is a social work intern who is completing her master’s degree (MSW) at Rutgers University with a specialty certificate in Interpersonal Violence & Trauma.  She began her master’s degree after receiving a certificate in Child Advocacy & Policy from Montclair State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in history.

 

MC is also a successful, entrepreneur, and coach who has co-owned and operated a strength and movement studio.  She provides holistic wellness and physical fitness utilizing a mind-body perspective bridging the gap between the mental health industry and the physical/ wellness/ fitness industry.  Her many interests include:  trauma, movement, authenticity, promoting mental health among Asian-Americans, empowerment, and psychedelic treatments.

 

During her free time, she enjoys working out, spending time in nature, trying new food and restaurants.
