Why is my to-do list getting longer and longer?
It's hard. Sometimes we set out to accomplish things, but they just never seem to get done. Our list of tasks can become unwieldy and overwhelming.
Procrastination is often related to fear; it can be an avoidance mechanism, a way to put off tasks we find emotionally overwhelming. Some things seem just too unpleasant or too difficult to tackle.
Delaying our responsibilities, however, is often counterproductive. It just results in a longer, more difficult list of things to address. These delays put more and more pressure on us to perform.
Instead of relentlessly planning and ruminating about how to get started, therapy can assist us in identifying why we are struggling and help us move forward.
Together, we can break down goals into manageable chunks and begin to take small steps toward reachable objectives.
If you are struggling to move forward, give me a call, and together we will work on meaningful strategies to promote growth and the courage to attain the change you need to succeed.
